SPAGHETTI AND ITALIAN SAUSAGE

When it is one of those nights that you don’t know what to make for dinner, try this spaghetti and Italian sausage recipe. Not only is this spaghetti and Italian sausage recipe delicious, but it is easy, cheap, and easy to customize if you have any dietary restrictions. This recipe is an excellent go-to recipe idea for busy nights.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Spaghetti
  • 1 lb Sweet Italian sausage 
  • 1/2 Cup Onion Chopped 
  • 3 Garlic cloves Minced
  • 1 Can 14.5 Oz Italian style stewed tomatoes
  • 1 Can 8 Oz Tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasonings
  • 1 tsp Sugar To taste
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan cheese Optional

Instructions
 

  • 1- In a saucepan, brown the Italian sausage. Drain if it needs to be drained. When the meat is almost brown, add onions and garlic. Mix and stir for about 2 minutes.
    2- Add Italian style stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, and dried herbs. Mix well.
    3- Season with black pepper and a pinch of sugar. The sugar balances the sourness of the tomatoes and gives the sauce a perfect taste. Simmer for at least one hour minutes
    4- When the meat sauce is about to be done and you are ready to eat, cook spaghetti according to what's written on the package instruction. 
    5- Combine cooked spaghetti and the Italian sausage sauce so the spaghetti can absorb the sauce. Serve and top with parmesan cheese and fresh Italian parsley!
